The best thing with homework is to plan ahead and by priority. Make a list of the things you need to do and list them in priority order so you don’t get bogged down by things that don’t need doing right away. So anything that is due the next day or that week place to the top and anything that you have a few weeks for put near the bottom and chip away at those as and where you can to take the pressure off at the end.

With long term assignments and coursework the worse thing to do is leave it till the last minute. What is you need extra help with something or need more time that you intended? You will thank yourself in the end if you do a bit each day. Your teachers/ lecturers should not be giving you more than you are capable of completing so it sounds like it’s just a matter of organising yourself a bit better.

Try to do your homework in little chunks as doing it all at once can be overwhelming- take breaks every hour or so to give yourself a little rest and recharge before going back into it. If you have other commitments then perhaps these need to be dialled back? Maybe keep sports for the weekend? Or tape your favourite shows for when you have free time. Like anything, if your mind is really in it, you can make time- often it’s at the expense of the things you enjoy but in the long term it’s worth it.
