With the inclusion of Caity Lotz's Sara Lance in the trailers and promotional images for DC's Legends of Tomorrow came a lot of confusion for fans of the Arrow series, but it soon became apparant that the return for the former Canary would be through a Lazarus Pit, birthing the White Canary and bringing the talented actress to our screens once more.
E! News have now confirmed however that it is actually Arrow where we'll first see Lotz returns, with executive producer and co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim explaining: "The White Canary will be launched in the first few episodes of Arrow. 4x08, our typical crossover episode, will be doing a lot of heavy-lifting in terms of getting the Legends of Tomorrow characters set up and also seeing where they are with relation to The Flash. It's a big episode."
Though we last saw Oliver Queen retiring as the Arrow and hoping to live a life of joy and bliss with his love Felicity Smoak, it's obvious that the happiness cannot last.
A new Green Arrow costume has been revealed by The CW, showing that the transformation and evolution further into the DC comic books version of Green Arrow is taking place within the show.
And though we know Ollie and Sara have a past which could ultimately mess with the relationship he's now formed with Felicity, fans will realise that nobody who goes into the Lazarus Pit comes out the same person.
Arrow season four begins on The CW on October 7, with DC's Legends of Tomorrow expected to broadcast on the same network in the first half of 2016.
