Usain Bolt has begged Prince William not to bring his son Prince George up supporting Aston Villa.
The Olympic sprinter, who is a fan of Manchester United, joked it is "not fair" to subject the Prince of Cambridge - who was born last Monday (22.07.13) - to a lifetime following the Premier League heavyweights following their struggle to survive in England's top soccer division last season.
He said: "The British Royal Family are great people -- and I have been fortunate enough to meet some of them. I want to give all my best to the prince and duchess on their first-born.
"I just hope he doesn't follow in his daddy's footsteps and become an Aston Villa fan.
"It isn't fair to put a child through that -- especially not a prince."
Bolt, 26, has even offered to take the one-week-old baby to United's Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, north west England, when he is old enough to watch the reigning Premier League champions play.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: "When the prince is old enough I would love to take him to Old Trafford. It is only fair on the little prince he gets to support a winning team."
Despite only being born last week, George is already the proud owner of his first ever soccer kit after the Birmingham-based side sent him one of the club's new classy claret and blue strips with HRH - meaning His Royal Highness - and the number one emblazoned on the back of the shirt.
The club posted a picture of George's kit on Twitter, accompanied with the message: "Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Another Villa fan arrives into the world! #AVFC #RoyalBabyBoy (sic)"
While William - who is the President of English football's governing body, the Football Association - is often ridiculed for his love of Villa, some may think he had a lucky escape as his father Prince Charles is a fan of Championship strugglers Burnley FC.
