June birthstone: Your baby’s birthstone is not limited to just one- it can be either pearl, alexandrite or moonstone. Should you buy them one as a gift, they each have their own benefits, however they work just as harmoniously as a set.

Pearls originate from oceans, rivers and lakes from around the world, so they make the perfect present for water babies and they are thought to represent purity and innocence- both synonymous with newborns.

Moonstones get their name from the special glow they omit, just like that of the moon in the night sky. This stone is thought to bring great luck to whoever wears it and is associated with love- something every parent wants for their child.

Alexandrites are unusual because they appear green in the daylight and purple in incandescent light. To hold one will help its owner embrace change- an invaluable attitude for your baby as they grow into adulthood.

June Birth Flower: The birth flowers of June are the honeysuckle and rose. Both flowers reach their peak during this month, meaning they look their best at this time. Roses are associated with affection as they are often gifted as a sign of love whereas honeysuckle is thought to mean positivity and happiness. So why not plant one or both in your baby’s honour and watch them grow in the garden as they do?

June star sign: June babies can either be a Gemini (until 21st June) or a Cancer (June 22nd onwards). Gemini babies communicate well, so your little one should learn to talk quickly and express their needs and wants with you effectively from a young age. As they grow, they will be social creatures and feel most comfortable when they are surrounded by others.

Cancer babies on the other hand are sensitive souls. They are home birds and prefer to be surrounded by their family and familiar comforts.

The month of June celebrations: June observes a number of celebrations including National Rose Month, National Pollinator Month, National Great Outdoors Month and National Camping Month- so your baby will likely enjoy being outside if they are born in June because it’s the perfect time to be at one with nature.

Celebrity birthdays: June babies are in good company as they share their birth month with Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, Liam Neeson, Natalie Portman, Morgan Freeman and Helen Hunt (to name a few) and if these actors are anything to go by- your baby has the potential to be hugely successful in their chosen field of work.

Goddess Juno: June is thought to be named after the goddess Juno- the patroness of marriage and childbirth, so your baby should grow up to be content in their forever relationship and bear healthy children of their own, should they wish for either (or both) in their future.

Father’s Day: Father’s day falls in the month of June every year, which indicates a strong male role model in your baby’s life- the most obvious being their father. In the absence of a father figure, your baby might grow to look up to a grandfather or uncle- whatever your family looks like- this constant male presence throughout their childhood will help to shape their attitudes in the future.
