The Wanted

The Wanted

The Wanted are headed into the world of reality TV, with the announcement coming yesterday that the boy band are set to star in their own TV show on the same E network that’s currently showing The Saturday’s American escapades.

So we banded some names around the office, and asked you on Twitter, as to which other singers should be getting their own TV shows, and why we’d love to see them.

One Direction

Well, it’s the obvious choice after The Wanted get their own show, but why not?

They have a worldwide group of fans so devoted it’s scary and their upcoming worldwide tour makes for the perfect back drop to proceedings. Also, not a day goes by when one of the quintet isn’t in the news (usually Zayn or Harry acting like a bit of an oaf), so why not put the camera there to either keep them a little in check or cover the carnage.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus seems intent on escaping her Disney roots and making herself into something else completely. Cutting her hair, hanging out with the transformed Lil Kim and seen showing off her yoga toned body whenever she can, why not give Miley a TV show that this time doesn’t involve her donning a wig.

We’d also love to see the dynamic in her relationship with Liam Hemsworth and how they work as a couple. If it just happens to mean lots more Liam Hemsworth on our TV, then that’s just a handy by-product.

The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones getting back together for their anniversary gigs wass one of the biggest news in music last year, so how else to better commemorate that than to see what the atmosphere and the banter backstage is like between Mick, Ronnie, Keith and Charlie.

They’ve already had Martin Scorsese shoot a movie around their last tour, why not let us see how they’re celebrating their half century together.

Taylor Swift

We’ve talked about Taylor Swift’s love life over the past year, so instead of just getting reports through about who she’s meant to have been making googly eyes at lately, let’s get the camera crew and see her in action.

We love a little bit of drama in our TV, and want sounds more appealing than seeing an angry Taylor Swift stopping around writing sulky break-up songs? Think about it, how mazing does ‘Dating With Taylor Swift’ sound huh?

Rihanna

Rihanna’s got a light addiction to Instagram. The only trouble is, she only seems to have two filters. There’s the ‘smoking weed with Chris Brown’ filter or the ‘I’m in a strip club’ mode.

With the singer’s rambunctious lifestyle even reportedly costing her endorsements, the perfect answer is to have a camera crew trying to keep up with her. Instead of her just uploading overexposed stills of herself in poses with strippers, now we could watch it all in glorious video.

Those are our picks, but who would you love to see get a camera crew following them around? Let us know in the comments section below.
