Elizabeth Banks says that she wants to do more directing now that she has had a taste of it with Pitch Perfect 2.

Banks has taken over the director's chair for Pitch Perfect 2, as she makes her feature film directorial debut with the project.

Banks admits that she enjoyed being in charge and would like to explore filmmaking more in the future. Banks has also admitted that fans should get excited about Pitch Perfect 2.

Speaking to the Press Association, Banks said: "I hope [to do more directing]. I think so. We'll see, I did enjoy it. I definitely like being the boss!"

"We're very excited too. It's great, the cast is all back with some really amazing new cameos, some great songs, an incredible villain this time around.

"The rival group is played by this incredible group of Germans - just amazing singer-dancers."We were treated to the first Pitch Perfect 2 trailer last week, which sees Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson back as Beca and Fat Amy, while Banks is also back on the cast list as Gail.

Banks is no stranger to the director's chair with short Just A Little Heart Attack and a segment of Movie 42 already under her belt - now she has made the transition into feature film.

The actress has enjoyed box office success this weekend as she returned to the big screen as Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, which has topped the U.S. box office.

Banks has also completed work on Mockinjay - Part 2 and Magic Mike XXL, which are both due to hit the big screen next year.

Pitch Perfect 2 is released 15th May 2015.
