When four lifelong friends decide to tackle the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey at their book club, they find their lives completely flipped upside down, with some hilarious results. That’s what audiences will see this June, when Book Club, from director Bill Holderman comes to the big screen.

Diane Keaton stars as her namesake Diane in the film; a recently widowed woman who had enjoyed 40 years of marriage. Jane Fonda meanwhile tackles the role of Vivian, described as someone who “enjoys her men with no strings attached.” Still working through a divorce decades-old is Sharon, played by Candice Bergen, and rounding out the friendship group is Carol, played by Mary Steenburgen, who finds her marriage in a major slump after 35 years.

Inspiring one another to take chances, discover new romance and rekindle old flames, the group are determined to ensure their next chapter will be their best one.

Today, we’ve got our hands on an exclusive clip from the movie, featuring Bergen, her character’s cat, and one bemused veterinarian! A sure recipe for laughter – you can check out the clip below:

Written by Bill Holderman and Erin Simms, Book Club is also produced by the pair alongside Andrew Duncan and Alex Saks. Ted Deiker and Alan Blomquist serve as executive producers.

Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia, and Don Johnson round out the film’s all-star cast.

Book Club comes to cinemas across the UK on June 1, 2018.
