Kristin Davis has revealed that the Sex and the City: The Movie sequel will be very different from the movie that hit cinema screens last summer.

The actress will be reprising her role as Charlotte York alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon.

Although she refused to give anything away in terms of plot the actress told Digital Spy: "It’s very exciting and very different than the first one, which is the luxury of getting to do another one," she said.

"We did the first one, and those were our pent-up things that we hadn’t finished in the show, so now we’re just starting fresh in a way, which is really, really exciting. It’s just a new adventure."

Despite rumours of trouble on set during the last movie the actress said that she excited at re-uniting with her co-stars: It’s like getting to be with your girlfriends for 18 hours a day, which, you know, nobody gets to do in their lives.

"We see each other when we’re not working. Everyone thinks we don’t, I don’t know why, [maybe] because we don’t parade down the street when we’re together."

The film is expected to be released in May 2010.
