Hotel Transylvania
Adam Sandler has shown once again that he is box office gold as his new movie Hotel Transylvania has topped the U.S. box office
The funnyman has lent his voice to the new animation movie and it grossed $43 million in it's opening weekend to comfortably take the top spot.
Critics have been raving over Looper but the Bruce Willis. Joseph Gordon Levitt movie had to settle for second.
The sci-fi thriller took $21.2 million this weekend and was way off the pace of Hotel Transylvania.
End of Watch dropped two places to number three while Trouble With The Curve was down one at four.
House at the End of The Street dropped three places to round off the top five while Pitch Perfect was the third new entry on the chart at number three.
Finding Nemo 3D and Resident Evil: Retribution were both down three places at seven and eight.
The Master suffered a two place drop at nine while Won't Back Down was a fourth and final new entry inside the top ten at number ten.
