Star Trek Into Darkness
Star Trek Into Darkness is one of the summer movies that I am looking forward to the most as I was a huge fan of the 2009 film.
If the early trailers for this movie are anything to go by it seems that the wait was well worth it as Star Trek Into Darkness promises to be bigger and better than its predecessor.
And just to notch the excitement around this release up a bit further new images from the movie have been revealed and you can take a look at them:
Star Trek Into Darkness sees J.J. Abrams back in the director's chair in what is his first film since the fantastic Super 8.
Abrams has always been a very visual filmmaker and it sees we are going to see that trend continue with this latest film.
He is not the only one returning as Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto will be reprising the role of Kirk and Spock for a second time.
Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Karl Urban are also back as the crew of the Enterprise... but there are a few new faces to look out for.
The biggest name to join the cast is Benedict Cumberbatch as he is set to play John Harrison. Now this is a character who is not in the original Star Trek series and that leaves us asking 'just who is John Harrison?'
Alice Eve is another new addition as Dr Carol Marcus and is a possible love interest for Kirk.
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.
With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction.
As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
Star Trek Into Darkness looks set to be even more exciting than the first film not to mention it looks visually stunning. I don't think this will disappoint.
