Jada Pinkett Smith is proud of her daughter Willow's "fearlessness".
The 41-year-old actress, who is married to 'After Earth' star Will Smith, with whom she also has a son, Jaden, 14, is terrified of swimming in the dark and admitted she is envious of her 12-year-old daughter's bravery after she enjoyed a late night dip in Hawaii on Saturday (22.06.13).
Writing about their family holiday on her Facebook page on Sunday (23.06.13), Jada shared: "I have been told all my life to stay away from the waters at night. I knew that last night I needed to challenge this belief.
"We went canoeing and it was breath taking. Willow jumped from the canoe into the moonlit black waters of the river... alone. (My heart swelled from witnessing her fearlessness)"
Jada also revealed that she and Will, 44, still make time for romance and enjoyed a magical night together during their trip.
She wrote: "My husband and I sat on the beach and spoke to one another's heart. Then, we built a bonfire and sat with our friends and shared life... in between the river and the ocean. It was a magical night."
The famous family have been very active on their holiday, taking regular surfing and paddle boarding lessons together.
