The former Gladiator took to his Twitter account to slam the actress-turned-model - to whom he was engaged from March to September last year - and shared a screenshot of an abusive text message she allegedly sent him after he was linked to other women.

In a post alongside the photo of the texts, which appear to have been sent from the brunette beauty's phone, he wrote: "@IAMKELLYBROOK stop insulting the woman I'm with! People need to see u for how u are a nasty bitter woman."

While it doesn't state who the messages refer to, reality TV star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace appears to have confirmed Kelly was referring to her when she wrote "Aisleyne is a skank" in one message by insisting she would've said something "a lot worse" about herself if she was in Kelly's shoes.

She told Mirror Online: "Kelly is a nice girl we've spoken about it and as far as I'm concern as a woman I completely understand and I would have said a lot worse.

"Matters of the heart should be kept private it's not fair on her, we all say things we regret when we are upset or hurt."

Kelly's text messages read: "the weave? the dress?

"big nose no lips.

"and actually fat.

"as long as she is buying you s**t and you have a place to stay, all can be overlooked. lol.

"and Jess is a little sl*t

"aisleyene is a skank.(sic)"

'Ex on The Beach' star Jess Impiazzi is thought to be the Jess referred to in the messages after she recently claimed Kelly called her a "sl*t" during a phone conversation.

The 35-year-old beauty - who remained friends with David following their split - is said to have called Jess from her former fiancé's phone and verbally attacked the 25 year old while she was staying with David at a London hotel with some friends.

She explained: "It said it was David so I said, 'Hiya'. It was awful - a voice went, 'Hello Jess, it's Kelly Brook'.

"She went, 'Are you and David dating - are you together? What's going on?'

"I said, 'Nothing really, we're just friends'. She said, 'Well I'm at his hotel, go figure.'

"I said, 'Kelly, there's no need to try and upset me. I'm not in love with the guy. There's no need to be horrible. I don't care.'

"She said, 'Let's hope you're not lying to me like all the other sl*ts. Nice talking to you Jess. Bye.' She made me feel like a bit of an idiot."

Kelly - who is currently filming new sitcom 'One Big Happy' in the US - quickly took to her own account last night (15.03.15) to defend herself over the claims.

She wrote: "Beyond Happy with all the positive things happening in my Life right now. Everyone can see that. Not going to let certain people drag me down.

She added a few hours later: "I am focused on what's happening in my life right now and not dwelling on the choices I made in 2014. I've moved on so should everyone else. (sic)"

Representatives for David refused to comment on the claims and the posts have since been removed.
