Elie Abouseleiman and two of his colleagues spotted the massive haul of loo roll, and were seen taking packets for themselves in online footage.

The toilet paper was left in public by shop owner Celia Deng, who was trying to find a place to store her excess stock.

Deng ordered the large shipment amid the coronavirus pandemic, with Australia being one of the worst nations for panic buying when the virus outbreak first began.

Elie admits he was ''surprised'' to encounter the toilet paper.

He told the Daily Mail Australia: ''I was going to put what I saw on Facebook Live anyway because everyone is fighting for toilet paper at the moment. I was speechless at such a mountain of toilet paper.

''I was just so surprised to see it. If it's her property then I suppose it's her business but it was on public land for all to see.''
