Fellow crime junkies, Sky have launched a brand new channel just for us! Sky Crime is the brand new channel and home of premium true crime straight from America, including documentaries and series from Oxygen and HBO, as well as first-run content from Jupiter and Woodcut.

Here, we take a look at some of the most exciting shows coming to the channel...

The Case Against Adnan Syed - Available now

Any crime junkie worth their salt has at least heard about the conviction of Adnan Syed. Brought to global attention back in 2014 following the huge success of the podcast Serial, many think they know the whole story. But, there's more to be told, as we see in this absorbing four-part documentary.

Going back to the beginning and reinvestigating the case of Syed, who has been convicted of murdering 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, audiences will question all they thought they knew about the case.

Having been in production since 2015, the filmmakers here have painstakingly reviewed the events leading up to Lee's disappearance, all whilst Syed awaits the outcome of a lengthy and complicated appeals process.

I Love You, Now Die - Available from October 6th, 2019

When 18-year-old Conrad Roy died by suicide in his car at a Fairhaven parking lot, nobody could predict the chain of events that would follow. Police found a series of distressing text messages from his girlfriend, 17-year-old Michelle Carter, encouraging him to take his own life. As a case was formed against Carter, a trial raised difficult questions about social media and technology, as well as mental health. Could it be proven that one person could be responsible for the suicide of another?

Across two episodes, director Erin Lee Carr explores the complicated relationship shared by Roy and Carter, drawing on the text messages they exchanged over two years, which eventually led to Roy's suicide.

Who Killed Garrett Phillips? - Available from October 20th, 2019

This two-part documentary explores the tragic case of 12-year-old Garrett Phillips, who was murdered in his own home in upstate New York, in late 2011. Police quickly pointed the finger at Oral "Nick" Hillary; a black man in the mostly-white community, who also happened to be the ex-boyfriend of Garrett's mother, and the soccer coach at Clarkson University.

Here, filmmakers chronicle the five years after the slaying, from the first investigation by authorities, to Hillary's eventual trial for murder, five years after the crime.

Raising troubling questions of racial bias and issues surrounding the criminal justice system in the US, this is a must-watch, from two-time Academy Award-nominee and Emmy-winner, Liz Garbus.

The Disappearance of Susan Cox Powell - Available from November 3rd, 2019

At 28-years-old in 2009, Susan Cox Powell disappeared from her Utah home, with husband Josh Powell quickly named by police as a suspect in the case. However, after a couple of years' worth of investigating, in which the police were unsuccessful in coming up with sufficient evidence, Powell would take the life of his two sons, before killing himself.

This documentary looks at the last few years of Susan's life before her disappearance, as well as finding damning evidence against her father-in-law, Steven Powell. If you haven't heard this story before, you're going to be utterly gripped.
