It's official. The Geordie beauty Cheryl Cole is returning to The X Factor this year, alongside Simon Cowell and two other judges, one of which is probably going to be Louis Walsh and another male, if the one female only rumour is to be believed.

In celebration of her comeback, we've decided to take a look back at six moments we simply can't erase from our memory of Cheryl's time on the talent show so far.

Her unrivalled awesome reactions to strange performances

Anyone remember this beauty of an audition? Ariel Burdett is a holistic vocal coach that wanted to show the judges not only her extreme attitude and sense of self, but that she could weave different styles of music into one single piece. It didn't work, and Cheryl got a little scared when she stepped forward off the X and moved forward. It's little moments like this that saw the nation fall in love with her.

Her no-nonsense attitude

She's not afraid to speak her mind, and so when entertainment value contestant Wagner was quoted bashing Cheryl and her past as a child in a council estate in one of the tabloids, she hit back at him on live television and reminded him of how lucky he is to be able to keep performing on the X Factor stage. Brilliant.

Her kindness to her fans

Cheryl loves all her fans, and it was this tender moment when one of them auditioned for the show and brought along a present for Cheryl that really showed off her heart. She accepted gracefully after the poor soul tripped just before reaching the judge's platform, and even seemed up to give him a peck on the lips before he ran back to the stage.

Her relationship with Simon Cowell

The two are constantly at each other's throats in series passed, and we're sure that will continue on into the upcoming eleventh.

Her emotional moments

Letting the tears flow freely when the time calls for it, she'll let a song take over her completely if it's sang beautifully by someone deserving of the Cheryl tears, revealing her softer and more delicate side and making her more relatable to the millions of people watching at home.

Her live performances

When she was a judge on The X Factor in the past, Cheryl had new music coming out left right and centre, and so would use the live shows as an opportunity to showcase that new material on a major platform. She was fantastic when she took to the stage, and really showed the contestants what they should be doing if they wanted to secure the title of X Factor champ.

Are you looking forward to Cheryl Cole's X Factor return? The series begins later this year.
