In a dramatic twist, Patty pretends to bring the cash to bribe the judge to Ellen but is stabbed by Garrety who is out for revenge. Finally, Ellen tries to get Patty to admit that she tried to have her killed, but backs out. Ellen heads off to bribe the judge, but is arrested by Werner. Patty engineered the arrests and Ellen is set free to return to Hewes and Associates more loyal than ever to her boss.
