A recent survey of unmarried men aged 25 – 35 found that almost all of them, 98%, hoped to find that someone special to settle down with and have a long term relationship.
And the poll also discovered that almost two thirds of single men, 63%, were looking for a good homemaker.
After that, 24%, said their ideal partner would be a driven, career-focused female with only 13% looking for their ideal wanted to settle down with a glamour model or porn star.
Attributes like cooking, cleaning and keeping a home featured high on the list ahead of career skills and high earning potential, with more than three quarters of men, 77%, admitting they wanted children one day and were looking for a partner who would make a good parent. But it seems almost all single men saying as well as a home maker 97% listed bedroom skills were a priority.
Less than half of those questioned, 47%, said a person’s career focus and earning power would be a serious consideration if selecting them as a life partner.
Men want the best of both worlds, a woman who will look after them, a great mother to the children, and someone to keep them sexually satisfied for the rest of their lives.
The poll, which was carried out at UK paintball centres, for paintballing.co.uk looked at which characteristics men found attractive in a prospective long-term partner.
A spokesman for the company said the results showed that men still have a traditional approach to choosing a life partner. With most single men seeing themselves ultimately in a loving partnership and sharing the responsibility of bringing up children.
So blokes have not really changed their aspirations still looking for the timeless things and despite the huge changes in society still want to meet someone who will help them build a strong home and ultimately a loving family.
