Every relationship is different but there are a few key rules you should be sticking to so that the relationship will go a little more smoothly!

Trust

This has to be the most important thing in a relationship. You have to be able to trust your partner 100% for a relationship to work, once it’s broken it’s difficult to make it right again.

Clean Slate

If you have suffered from unfaithful relationships in the past it can be hard to trust any man again, but it’s unfair to tarnish them with the same brush. Just because one man broke your heart doesn’t mean this one will so start with a clean slate and don’t treat him in accordance with your past relationships.

Stalking

Stalking him in every aspect is bad, whether it be via Facebook, his texts, diary, it doesn’t matter. He deserves a personal life so don’t be bombarding him with questions like ‘who are you talking to?’, ‘who’s that girl on your Facebook?’ or ‘Can you give me your password to your emails?’ It’s unreasonable to invade every aspect of their life.

Have A Life

Don’t spend all your time with your partner. Not only will this make your time together less special but it will lead to you getting sick of each other’s company. Your friendships will also suffer, especially if you’re not seeing them and then when you do see them you’re starting every sentence with ‘Me and my man…’

Hold Back

Everyone knows that the most exciting part of anything in life is the chase. If you give up everything too soon then there is nothing to look forward too. Don’t sleep with someone the night you meet them and don’t rush into everything, it’s much more exciting to take it slow and build anticipation!

Don’t Be Overbearing

Men find it difficult enough even before you start talking about moving in together, marriage and children so don’t come on too strong. Don’t be texting and calling him every 15 minutes and don’t start talking about the future after two weeks of being together, it’ll only have him running for the hills.

Be Confident

Don’t pretend to love all the things he loves, be confident and have your own opinions. Not only will he appreciate that he’s getting to know the real you but he’ll also love that you can speak your mind and think for yourself.

Finally…

If he’s just not that into you then don’t waste your time. If you feel the relationship is a one way street then it’s time to speak up or get out.
