Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
Chris Pine is set to return to an action role this new year as he takes over the part of Jack Ryan.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is the first big action movie of 2014, as Kenneth Branagh returns to the director's chair.
Pine will take on the role of Ryan for the first time with this film as a new franchise is kicked off.
He will become the fourth actor to play the Tom Clancy created character as he follows in the footsteps of Harrison Ford, Alec Baldwin and Ben Affleck.

Branagh is on the cast list as well as in the director's chair: this is his first directorial outing since the success of Thor back in 2011.
Pine and Branagh are joined on the cast lit by Kevin Costner, Keira Knightley, Colm Feore and Nonso Anozie.
The story follows Ryan from 9/11, through his tour of duty in Afghanistan, which scarred him forever, and into his early days in the Financial Intelligence Unit of the modern CIA where he becomes an analyst, under the guardianship of his handler, Harper (Costner).
When Ryan believes he’s uncovered a Russian plot to collapse the United States economy, he goes from being an analyst to becoming a spy and must fight to save his own life and those of countless others, while also trying to protect the thing that’s more important to him than anything, his relationship with his fiancée Cathy (Knightley).
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is released 24th January 2014.
