The second chapter based on the worldwide bestselling phenomenon that is the Fifty Shades series has been adapted for the big screen, with Fifty Shades Darker hitting cinemas across the UK on February 10.
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan return as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey; unlikely lovers that find themselves together despite all of the external forces around them that would threaten their relationship.
In Fifty Shades Darker we’ll see those threats become more dangerous than ever before, and Christian is going to have to work hard if he’s to bring Anastasia back into his life.
Ahead of the movie’s release, a new clip for the film has been revealed which takes a deeper look at the developing relationship between Christian and Anastasia, as well as delving into the threatening forces around them. Check out the clip above.
The official synopsis for the movie reads: “When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.”
Directed by James Foley and produced once again by Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Marcus Viscidi alongside Fifty Shades author E L James, the film features a screenplay by Niall Leonard and a returning cast that further includes Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini.
Kim Basinger, Hugh Dancy, Bella Heathcote and Eric Johnson will all make their debuts in Fifty Shades Darker.
Fifty Shades Darker comes to UK cinemas and American theaters on February 10, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
