Returning to screens soon in new action drama Fire With Fire, American actor and former fashion model Josh Duhamel first broke into the entertainment industry in 1999, landing the role of Leo du Pres on All My Children.
He soon began starring in several films gaining popularity with action and rom-com fans alike; from the classic chick flick Win a Date with Tad Hamilton to blockbusters such as the Transformers franchise.
Josh has proven himself as an ideal leading man, with his looks and talent allowing him to take on greater and greater roles. Next up for Josh is action drama Fire with Fire (out March 8th) alongside Bruce Willis. Here we’ve taken a look back at some notable films in Josh’s career to date.
- Win A Date With Tad Hamilton (2004)
Josh Duhamel plays the title role in this light-hearted romantic comedy about a small-town girl, Rosalee (Kate Bosworth) who wins a date with her favourite male celebrity, Tad Hamilton.
The date ends up going unexpectedly well and a love triangle forms between Tad, Rosalee, and Rosalee’s best friend Pete (Topher Grace). This film was Josh’s big-screen debut, and it wasn’t long before he had won over the heart of every teenage girl.

- Paradise Lost (2006)
In this horror film (originally titled Turistas) a group of American tourists travel to Brazil, where a bus accident leaves them stranded in a remote rural area with an ominous secret.
Josh Duhamel plays one of the leading male characters, Alex, who manages to escape the horrors that befall the group along with two other survivors: his sister Bea, played by Olivia Wilde, and Pru, played by Melissa George.

- Transformers (2007)
In this action-packed sci-fi adventure, Josh Duhamel plays William Lenox, the captain of a special operations team at the SOCCENT base in Qatar.
The film stars Shia LeBeouf as Sam Witwiky, a teenager who becomes involved in a war between two factions of alien robots disguised as everyday machinery.
Josh reprised his role as the newly promoted Major William Lenox in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011).

- Life As We Know It (2010)
Two single adults become the caregivers of their best friends’ orphaned child in this emotional romantic comedy.
Josh Duhamel stars as Eric Messer, a promising television technical sports director, alongside Katherine Heigl as Holly Berenson, the owner of a small Atlanta bakery.
Bringing both tears of sadness and tears of laughter, the film showcases a more versatile side of Josh’s acting in the rom-com leading man role.

- New Year’s Eve (2011)
The lives of several New Yorkers intertwine on New Year’s Eve in this star-studded romantic comedy.
Josh Duhamel plays Sam, a businessman from Ahern Records whose storyline involves his journey to attend the Ahern Records Ball where he is to deliver a speech, all the while wondering whether he should attend a meeting with a mysterious woman he met and fell for the previous New Year’s Eve.

- Fire With Fire (2012)
Now taking on the role of fire fighter Jeremy Coleman, Josh Duhamel stars in this action drama alongside Bruce Willis and Rosaria Dawson.
Coleman’s life takes an unexpected course of action when he witnesses a horrific crime and is ordered to testify against the suspect.

The actor is also back on the big screen this week as another of Nicolas Sparks' novels are adapted for the big screen.
The movie is directed by Lasse Hallström and sees Duhamel team up with Julianne Hough and Noah Lomax.
When a mysterious young woman arrives in a small North Carolina town, her reluctance to join the tight knit community raises questions about her past.
Slowly, she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children.
