Michelle Pfeiffer said it is women that have created the myth that skinny is attractive.
The 49 year old actress revealed her outspoken views on the size zero debate recently.
She said: Men dont want undernourished and bony women. And they dont find grotesque plastic surgery attractive either.
So it can only be women who put the pressure on themselves.
The glamorous 49 year old, who is back on screen in the camp sixties inspired musical Hairspray, also told Sunday that she thinks women should stop this weight obsession.
She added: Women today have a big challenge ahead to stop this. The trend doesnt seam to be going away.
