I met a guy a few months ago, we've been on a few dates and recently stayed the night together. He was a real gentleman, we had sex and afterwards he told me he really likes me. That was 3 days ago and I haven't heard from him. I'm confused as to where things go from here.

If he hasn’t made the effort to call why not get in touch with him? If you don’t and he leaves it another few days you will be left wondering. Three days is not an unreasonable amount of time to leave it before you contact someone- right after a date maybe but not days after.
Sex can be a big deal for some people and so for those who it is for, then they would likely make the effort to get in touch and tell the other person how much they enjoyed the night or plan another date. If he hasn’t called it could be that he has moved on since but decided not to tell you and hasn’t placed a lot of importance on the sex or the dates.
Perhaps if you get in touch try arranging a second date and take it from there- if he sounds disinterested then it might be time to move on, however if he is keen to schedule something else in then later down the line tell him that you appreciate a regular text message or call to keep things going. Try to emphasise why you like it rather than being negative because he hasn’t been in contact as much as your want. People respond badly to negative comments especially so early on. So boost his ego and tell him how much you like to hear from him!
