Zoochosis is defined as a psychological condition of animals kept in circuses and zoos. Symptoms include pacing, circling, swaying, self-injury caused by deprivation, loneliness, stress, desperation and insanity. In zoos and circuses, the living conditions are often small and dirty and don't replicate the animal's natural environment in every way necessary.

In the wild animals have vast spaces to explore, interaction with others from their own species and others and can roam free in their natural habitats. Depriving them of this results in many animals losing their minds. They suffer from loneliness, stress, boredom and in worst cases- abuse from their carers. You can help- by not visiting marine animal parks, zoos or animal circuses.
