Initial filming for the episode was called to a halt when a power outage meant the team had to cancel the recording before they'd had a chance to play any games with the guests.

A week later, the panel - featuring host Keith Lemon (Leigh Francis), team captains Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton, and guests Rak-Su, Catherine Tyldesley and Joel Dommett - all returned for a re-shoot, but Eamonn wasn't able to attend.

However, the show worked around his absence by bringing in 'Cold Feet' star John and he played the part of the 'This Morning' host.

He made sure to embrace his role on the show, and took part in a skit with former 'Coronation Street' actress Catherine, in which he portrayed Surgeon Nohands in a drama created by Keith.

In scenes to air on Thursday's (20.09.18) episode, Catherine has the studio cracking up laughing as she comes in complaining of "chronic" wind.

Both Leigh and Holly revealed news of the power outage at the time of the awkward incident, taking to social media to update fans on what had happened on set.

Writing on Instagram, she said: "We were filming the show and suddenly everything went to black, and I thought it was just - it was getting a bit hot in the studio so [someone turned] the studio lights off. But that's not the case at all."

Leigh revealed they had got through a bulk of the filming, but hadn't had time to shoot any games with the guests.

In his own video, he added: "The studio lights are broken, the air con is broken, the power is out in the studio of 'Celebrity Juice'.

"We've got all the chat done at the beginning that we normally do, which is cut sporadically into the programme ... We haven't played any games."

'Celebrity Juice: The Power Cut Special' airs on Thursday (20.09.18) at 10pm on ITV2
