The trio of stars are the first names to be confirmed for the upcoming one off episode set to air on Christmas Day with six celebrities battling on the dancefloor to take home the coveted trophy.

The news was revealed on Wednesday's (22.11.23) episode of BBC's 'It Takes Two', with the three contestants looking forward to the experience.

'BBC Breakfast' host Sally - who has been paired with Graziano Di Prima - said: "I am thrilled and slightly terrified to be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

"I'm hoping the judges will be kind - and filled with Christmas spirit.

"And I hope everyone watching at home will enjoy a little bit of Strictly magic on Christmas night.”

'EastEnders' star Jamie - who has been playing Jay Brown for over 17 years on the BBC soap - will dance with Nancy Xu in the one-off special.

He added: "I am so excited to be joining the cast of this years' Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

"From Walford to a Waltz, I can’t wait to learn a new skill and put my dancing to the test.

"I’m hoping to spread Christmas cheer and have a good laugh with my professional dancer... get me on that dancefloor!”

Meanwhile, broadcaster Dan Snow will be paired with Nadiya Bychkova, and he's looking forward to getting out of his "comfort zone".

He said: "I am absolutely terrified about hitting the dance floor.

"But I love getting out of my comfort zone and I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance properly. So I thought it was now or never!”

The remaining three contestants will be announced on 'It Takes two' on Thursday (23.11.23).

The 'Strictly Come Dancing' Christmas special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.
