They are a team player
Decisiveness: Netball players have just three seconds to receive the ball, assess the situation and find another player to pass it to. This means ladies who play netball know what they want and stick to their guns. None of this ‘where shall we go tonight?’ or ‘what should we have for tea?’ They already know the answer and are more likely to tell you what the plan is.
Togetherness: Netball is a game dependent on the strength in the support network of its players. Regardless of individual performance- the game is about working together in order to achieve success. So, your lass will always have your back and will work with you as much as she possibly can to make your relationship flourish.
Happiness: Women who move more tend to be happy and healthy people. The more you exercise the more endorphins you release so chances are your lady will be a happy little bunny for most of the month and enjoyable to be around!
Emotional release: If anything is bothering her, she will probably use her sport as a means of taking out her frustrations on the court and not on you, which is where a lot of arguments between partners can stem from. When she is done with the ball- this leaves only the good stuff for you!
Individuality: A woman who has a love of netball, or any sport for that matter, has something in her life that doesn’t involve you. This is a good thing for any relationship- while she is pursuing her passions- you can get on with yours- then you can reconvene and discuss your respective experiences.
Boundaries: For a netballer, their entire game is contained within a third of a court for an entire game. These women know their own boundaries and they stick to them. If you tell her yours, she will know where not to venture so you are always on the same page.
Relentlessness: Netballers will fight to the bitter end. The third quarter is always going to be the toughest- as players start to get tired- yet this is when you see a lot of women bring their A-game. So, if your relationship is going through a difficult patch, they won’t give up on it, or you at the first hurdle, they will do everything they can to make it work.
