Finding gifts that both partners will enjoy can be tricky, which is why we have come up with some helpful suggestions for Christmas 2019:

Christmas on Female First

Christmas on Female First

A cinema voucher: If the people you know and love consider themselves a couple of movie buffs, a cinema voucher could be the gift for them. They can have a date night or two on you along with the obligatory popcorn and cola.

Something for their home or garden: You may need to ask them what they want if their home is well established but they may need a new set of pans or some patio furniture that is within your budget. Although it takes away the element of surprise, at least you know you are spending your money on something they really desire.

A couple’s massage: If they are both in need of some TLC- a couple’s massage could be the way to their hearts. They could make a day or weekend of it depending where it is or even stay overnight if it’s in a hotel.

Tickets: If they both love the same comedian, band, musical or play- tickets are just another excuse to have a date night together. Plus, your money is being spent on an experience rather than a material item, which we all know is better for making memories.

A restaurant voucher: If the couple you know has a favourite place to eat- this is a no brainer. Or perhaps they rarely go out to dinner, in which case, this is a great excuse to give them the treat they deserve.

An experience day: Perhaps they’ve always wanted to go up in a hot air balloon together, try an outdoor obstacle course or take a Segway tour- if they have expressed an interest in doing something they will both remember for years to come- this could be the ideal gift that deviates from the norm.

A membership: Perhaps they both read the same paper or magazine, in which case you could sign them up for a year’s worth of this publication. Do they both enjoy trips to stately homes and gardens? A National Trust membership might be a welcome gift. If they are passionate about walking and wildlife- an RSPB membership could be the way to go. There is a membership for pretty much anything today and so long as it’s something they will both get a kick out of- it’s money well spent!
