In 2009, Portman dated dancer Benjamin Millepied. They met while they were filming Black Swan, which Millepied choreographed.
Only a year later, Portman announced that they were engaged and that she was pregnant.
Their son, Aleph Portman Millepied was born in June 2011.
Rumours were stirred when in 2012 they were photographed with wedding rings on at the academy awards.
In August 2012 the pair were married in a small Jewish Ceremony in Big Sur, California.
Earlier this year Millepied announced that he had been accepted as the director of the Paris Opera Ballet. When the job starts in 2012, the couple will move to Paris and Portman has agreed to become a French Citizen.
