Valentine's Day on Female First

Be Yourself

Relax and let your date see the real you. Don’t try to be someone you’re not just to impress. The truth always comes out in the end and that is no way to start a potential relationship.

Dress to Impress

When selecting what to wear it is important to dress appropriately for the occasion and activity/venue (however here at Amare we think that if you’re not sure, it’s better to be over-dressed than under-dressed). Choose an outfit that not only makes you look amazing but makes you feel great, boosting your confidence.

Be Engaging

Whilst you’re talking to your date, make eye contact with them and smile – it shows you’re enjoying the conversation.

Be Decisive

If you are given options, select one promptly. “Umming & aahing” is not attractive and can show a lack of confidence.

Be Present

Put your phone on silent, actively listen and ask questions. It’s always flattering when you ask your date questions about themselves and it conveys interest.

Don’t be too quick to judge

Love isn’t always how you see it in the movies where people fall in love at first sight. The reality is that to truly know if there is potential in someone it can take a few more dates. Sometimes people hide the diamond within and it takes a while to find it!

Be Positive

Having a positive outlook will make you feel happier, gives you clarity of mind, making your goals more achievable. It gives you more strength not to give up, if you encounter obstacles on your journey.  As well as making people find you more alluring and attracting better suitors. Positivity is the key to success in life and dating.

Make sure you are not holding on to emotional baggage.

It’s not fair to be pining for someone whilst dating someone else and will prevent you from finding a happy & healthy relationship.

Know why you are dating

Are you dating with a view to have a future with this person or with a view to be have a serious relationship? Make sure you are on the same page as your date so you don’t waste your time or someone else’s.

Be true to your values

Know your core values and underlying beliefs in your life, religion / money etc…
