Women Hate Having Their Sleep Disturbed

It’s not all peaches and cream when it comes to relationships, there are always those little habits that we can’t stand about our partner and new research uncovers which are the most annoying.

Unsurprisingly, women’s most hated habit is when their partner leaves the toilet in a state after using it.

Leaving the seat up or splashing round the bowl and not cleaning it up topped the list for women, followed closely by their man disturbing their sleep by snoring.

Men’s kitchen habits seemed to bother women as their third biggest annoyance was when men used too many pots and pans when cooking, followed by how long it takes them to actually cook the meal.

Amusingly, men’s biggest complaint about their partner was them wearing shoes that they can’t walk in, because it meant they had to foot the bill for the taxi to take them places.

Make-up was the second biggest complaint, mainly because men were sick of finding it smudged on pillow cases, towels and even the walls.

Messy, bulging handbags and oversized luggage for holidays came in third place, followed by women’s tendency to leave the bathroom smelling over overpowering toiletry products.

Lastly, men hate finding their woman’s hair clogging the plughole as well as finding it strewn over the house.

The research, carried out by maritalaffairs.co.uk, did show that some habits weren’t gender specific.

Texting or talking at the table appeared on 25 per cent of women’s lists and 22 per cent of men’s lists and 11 per cent of both men and women listed their partner’s driving as a cause for concern.

Unbelievably, breaking wind was mentioned by men and women as well as unconscious noises such as sniffing, throat clearing and sighing.

When it came to eating habits, 7 per cent of women hated it when their man would drink out of the bottle, preferring them to use a glass instead.

Men commented on how they were annoyed by their partner’s fussy eating habits and fad diets that they were constantly on.
