Conducted by Harley Street Surgeon, Dr. Julian De Silva, who spoke to 2,000 men and women as part of the study suggests that females start beginning up the picking up her habits, tastes and attitudes of their mums when they reach their early 30s.

More than half the women involved in the study found themselves acting more like their mother - using the same sayings watching the same television shows and participating in the same hobbies.

This is especially the case if a woman has recently had their first child - with the average age of a woman having a baby in the UK at 30.05 years.

Dr. De Silva explained: ''We all turn into our parents at some point in our lives - and that is something to be celebrated.

''Becoming parents is the main trigger, and lifestyle factors are also important.''

He added: ''It is an inevitable part of ageing but a process lots of people want to put off for as long as possible.''
