A dating website for married people surveyed 2,000 people to find out what they really disliked in the bedroom.

According to the research, men think the biggest mistake their partners make is failing to initiate sex - with 64 per cent wishing their counterpart took the lead more often.

The study also showed that husband's hate it when their wives want to have sex in the dark and aren't too keen on them faking orgasms.

Women were turned off when their partners skipped foreplay and weren't fans of clumsiness in the bedroom and crude dirty talk.

IllicitEncounters.com spokesperson, Jessica Leoni said: ''We find that what drives people to have an affair primarily is a lack sexual satisfaction at home.

''The key reason why both men and women are fed up with their partners is because they are not prepared to change and keep making these fundamental mistakes in the bedroom.''
