An Indian man who was placed in a freezer after being mistakenly pronounced dead has died days after his rescue.

Balasubramanyam Kumar was declared dead earlier this week and placed in a freezer, however as undertakers arrived to collect the body for his funeral, they discovered Kumar was moving and was still alive.
However, he passed away on Friday (16.10.20) from lung-related problems.
It is believed that Balsubramanyam had been kept in a freezer for around 20 hours and police have put forward a case against his family for "acting rashly or negligently to endanger human life".
It's unclear how Kumar was able to survive for so long inside the freezer box.
