Couples filming each other making love is the UK’s most popular sex fetish, according to new research.
Making sex tapes has taken over the top spot from BDSM (bondage, domination and submission).
People immediately associate fetish sex with whips and chains and handcuffs but it can embrace all different types of sex - from dressing up to spanking and taking sex selfies and shooting red-hot home movies on smartphones.
Sex expert Annabelle Knight said: “The growth in the popularity of smartphones has been a game changer when it comes to sex.
“Virtually everyone has access to their own cameras and these can be used to make extremely erotic homemade movies which couples can enjoy together.
“Sex selfies are great fun, too, and a brilliant way to generate excitement for couples when they are apart.
“Clearly you need a great level of trust with your partner before getting the camera out because no one wants the footage shared with third parties in the event of a split.”
To celebrate the launch of London Fetish Weekend, which starts on Thursday (Oct 5) and runs until Sunday, Annabelle, who has her own range of sex toys with Lovehoney, has provided a guide to the UK’s 10 most popular sex fetishes.
