In a recent survey it as found that men have certain requirements for the prefect bachelor’s cave to impress a date. So what do we think about their priorities and how do us ladies impress our dates?

1926 Wooden flooring conducted the survey with over 500 males and asked them what they prioritised in their man space to get the girl.
Mortgage
Guys like to be able to say that they own their place, as well as having a good career and being well travelled.
What we think
Owning his own place means that he is goal driven, something which is very important in a long term relationship. Achieving a milestone such as owning a house, means that they are not afraid of being an adult and don’t want to spend the rest of their lives mooching off their parents. If our man is career focused, then this can add to some fruitful conversation and make the date much more interesting. Travelling, is not essential, but again, the more stories you have the more fascinating a person you will be!
The ladies
Having our own place is not necessarily a must for us, however having our own space is, whether that is in our own home or in a house share. We are social creatures, but also like to have some time alone with our dates! We get our kicks from telling our friends about our dates the day after, so roommates are sometimes essential!
Décor
21% said that try would seek professional advice from an interior designer to decorate their bachelor pad; however 32% are more likely to ask their friends.
What we think
When it comes to the ladies, we are pretty decisive about our décor choices, so if it is bold and minimalist, we will play through in our mind as we are visiting just what rug and throw pillows could go where and check the bathroom is clean. A man with good taste in their decorating choices means that they care about presentation, both of themselves and their surroundings. If they live in a dump this only gives you insight into what your relationship would be like further down the line.
The ladies
With the exception of those girls who have a thousand teddy bears on their bed and like busy floral patterns on every soft furnishing, generally we are not bad at making attractive choices when it comes to our surroundings. We girls can be messy too, but we always make sure our dirty knickers are in the wash basket and our place is tidy before our dates come over! And changing into a pair of ‘genuinely tiny knickers’ never hurt anyone! ;)
Gadgets
Men like to have gadgets about their space and a flat screen TV is the best item to impress not only girls but also their guy mates. A pool table and surround sound system being the next important.
The Ladies
When girls set up a new place, their most important things are usually a good bed, couch and TV, so not totally dissimilar to men, but sleep and having clean sheets and a comfortable place to copulate holds more weight than anything else, and guys, you will thank us!
Cooking
Men think that a fully stocked kitchen is the sure fire way to impress their date and to cook their woman a complicated home cooked meal would charm their way into their lady’s heart.
What we think
A home cooked meal is appealing for either sex; it shows that you care enough to put in the time. It also marks something special, as this is often done to mark occasions like anniversaries, so its acts as a prerequisite for thoughts of the future. At eh very least we have a carton of milk in the fried I you want a brew!
The ladies
For us we don’t want to fall into the stereotype of being the cook, so having our dinner cooked for us proves that your date is capable and if you are in it for the long term that they have no excuse to say otherwise later down the line!
