If you’re looking to make a connection on your next trip, recent data from dating app Happn suggests Chamonix, Val Thorens, Courchevel and Verbier are the places to be. Our recent research found that Brits are more likely to make a connection with French holidaymakers than one another on the slopes, and similarly, Swedes tend to Crush with Norweigans opposed to other Swedes. The world is quite literally your oyster, so get stuck in.
Meet Cutes are uncharacteristically high
If you’ve been skiing before you’ll know minor collisions are a regular occurrence. Potentially embarrassing, but those tumbles on the slope are the perfect opportunity to help or be helped by a handsome stranger. With the ice broken, there’s nothing stopping you from starting a conversation and maybe even more.
Après-ski gives you a chance to reveal your fun side
We’re hard wired to be attracted to people who know how to have fun, and how better to display this than après-ski. Many of Europe’s best loved resorts are known for their night-life: Courchevel, for instance, has 27 bars and clubs, ranging from cosy and chilled to pumped and electric.
