The morning commute is bad enough, given that it's morning(!), busy and you're heading to work. But people now have to contend with yet another annoying thing- Public Transport Affection- yes you read it right. In other words- couples getting a bit too familiar on the bus, the train or the tram -for everyone else to see.

We have listed five of the most 'grab me a bucket moments' in this scenario.

Kissing- You would think that couples can get all their kissing out of the way before they have an audience right? Apparently NOT! Some prefer to pucker up on public transport instead. Like no one's watching but- their fellow passengers can't help but notice the faces pushed together, the saliva, the noises, the hands on backs of necks and closed eyes. Stick with a peck- please!

Hugging- Again you're not in a cinema here- the lights are still on and everyone can see you snuggling up like you're on the couch at home- where this kind of affection belongs. Why can't you just hold hands? It's discreet and looks far more comfortable that trying to wedge someone under your armpit in your overcoat.

Sitting on each other's laps- Really? Aside from being unsafe on a moving vehicle, your partner doesn't need a lap dance at 8am on a Monday morning- they probably need strong coffee and silence to ease them into the day.

Whispering- Everyone can hear what you're saying- it's like when you're drunk- you think you're being discreet but everyone knows what you're planning to do after work and how good the sex was last night because the rest of the passengers wanted to know that about a total stranger- NOT!

Giggling- There's nothing worse than feeling like you've missed the punch line. It's like going to see a comedian and their mic going off just as they deliver the funny part. People get it- couples have their 'in-jokes' but don't rub it in. People laughing together is a lovely sound but not when it lasts their entire journey to work and not when they can't join in.

Match dating expert Kate Taylor said, "There's a time and a place for a kiss and a cuddle, but on a busy train or bus can cause awkwardness for fellow passengers. The ideal place for couples who want to canoodle should be behind closed doors, rather than minding the closing doors."
