Jacamo took to the streets of Britain to find out what makes British blokes happy and found out a few surprising facts!

When men had some down time, 45 per cent of them said they would spend that time with their partner, with only 27 per cent saying they would spend it with their mates.

When it came to day-to-day activities, the number thing that will make British men happy is having their favourite lunch.

This was followed by 28 per cent of men saying they love a good shopping spree. Hanging out with friends came in at third place with 27 per cent and having an innocent followed with 26 per cent.

A touching find was that 43 per cent of men would put becoming a father as their most joyful event in life.

Getting married to the love of their life came in at second with 35 per cent and seeing his favourite sports team win the league came third with 18 per cent.

Another common misconception was blasted by the Jacamo survey. The idea men have the time of their lives when in their late teens and early twenties was proven to be false.

Jacamo found that men are truly happy at the age of 37, which is much nearer their forties than their twenties.

It is thought that men are happier at this stage in their lives as they are more likely to have settled with a partner, had children and established a close group of friends.

Lucy Dobson, Marketing Manager for Jacamo found the survey’s findings interesting and positive.

She said, “It’s great to see that becoming a father and getting married is the key to men’s lasting happiness. And when it comes to day-to-day activities which bring happiness, nothing beats a decent lunch followed by a splurge on some new clothes.”
