Ahead of the release of Alien: Covenant in cinemas across the globe later this year, the team behind the movie have released an official prologue short to the film, featuring leading stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace. ‘The Crossing’ reveals what happened to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Rapace) and the synthetic David (Fassbender) following the events of Prometheus, and can now be seen in full below:

Serving to join the events of the upcoming flick with Ridley Scott’s previous release Prometheus, the short allows fans to board an abandoned Engineer vessel with the two characters, as Dr. Shaw repairs David in the hopes of continuing their journey to find humanity’s creators.

It comes before the adventure we’ll see in Covenant, which will see Dr. Shaw, David and a crew of space travellers set off for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. When they discover what they believe to be a never-before-explored paradise, they begin to wish they’d never embarked on the journey when a dark and dangerous threat begins to hunt them down.
