The technology giant has followed its Spring sale, which included discounts on a huge range of games, with a number of eye-catching deals, including 'Dead Rising 4' boasting a 40 percent discount, and 'Elite Dangerous: Commander Deluxe Edition', which is reduced by 33 percent.

The latest deals may not be as enticing as the ones offered up through the Spring sale, but are definitely work checking out, especially for gamers who are fans of Backwards Compatibility.

In March, meanwhile, Microsoft announced a Netflix-like service giving players access to more than 100 games.

The Xbox Games Pass offers a rotating selection of Xbox One games - as well as titles from previous machine, the Xbox 360 - for just £7.99 ($9.99) a month.

As well as featuring Microsoft titles, the service includes games from third party publishers such as 2K, Sega, Capcom, Codemasters, Bandai Namco and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, among others.

And unlike streaming TV services, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, the games are downloaded to your Xbox One.

In a statement, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said: "One of the best things about Xbox Game Pass is that you can discover and download the full titles directly on your Xbox One. That means continuous, full-fidelity gameplay without having to worry about streaming, bandwidth or connectivity issues."
