More negatively, to dream of being a refugee could symbolise feelings of rejection from society as whole or friends, family and work colleagues. Perhaps you feel isolated and don’t belong anywhere or with anyone. As a result, you are having to make your own way in life with no help from anyone because you have the necessary links to do so.
On the other hand, you may be trying to escape something rather than facing it head on.
With that said, it might be difficult to confront whatever it is and you feel you have no choice but to leave it behind. It is too big for you on your own. You just need some kind of sanctuary instead.
