If you were looking at or listening to a record in your dream, it’s possible you need to consider both sides of a situation in your waking life before making a decision about something.

Another thought is that you need to be more in tune with your instincts and listen to your gut more often. If something doesn’t feel right- chances are it probably isn’t a match for you.

It’s possible you need to say something to someone off the record- unofficially or in the strictest of confidence. Perhaps you have been stung lately by others knowing your business and you need to share something with a person you trust and know that it will stay private.

The dream could be telling you that you’re going round and round in circles and not achieving a lot with your days. It might be time to break the cycle and escape the monotony.

Listening to a record might be something you would do for fun so the dream could be urging you to enjoy life more.

If the record was scratched then you may be aggravating those around you by sounding like a broken record. Is it about time you took action rather than complaining about something incessantly? Or do you need to channel this passion into something more productive than just speaking about it ad nauseum?

Records are thought by some to be markers of the past- do you need to preserve your memories, emotions and experiences if they are slipping away?

On the other hand, you might have been taking a trip down memory lane of late and this represents the feelings of nostalgia you’ve been celebrating.

It is widely believed that records provide a much richer, higher quality sound than CDs or music played on digital devices. Perhaps you prefer you have a deeper connection with your things and your experiences, even if it means more of your time and effort is required to have them.
